What We Believe

Vineyard Ministries is a Spirit filled Church in Bangalore. We are committed to fulfilling the commandants of our Lord Jesus Christ in a practical way. Our primary vision to reach out to the lost, feed the hungry, cloth the naked and to showing hospitability to the strangers, visiting the sick and comforting the broken.

Here's a brief look at what we believe in:

The Lord Jesus Christ

We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as the only begotten Son of God. We believe that He took our place and died for all men. We believe in His resurrection, and His eventual return to judge the world as the King of Kings.

The WORD

We believe that The Bible is the inspired WORD of God, a revelation from God to mankind, and is the the infallible rule of faith and conduct.

Salvation

We believe that all mankind are born with a sinful nature and that the work of Christ’s atonement at the Cross was to redeem us from the power of sin. We believe that this salvation from sin is available to all who are willing to receive Jesus as their personal Savior through the prayer of salvation.

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the existence of the Holy Spirit as the third person of the Trinity (God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit.) We believe in the Holy Spirit’s interaction with man as a Helper and Comforter. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as manifested by the fruit and the gifts of the Spirit.

The Church

We believe in the Church as the eternal and universal Body of Christ consisting of all those who have accepted the work of Christ’s atonement. We believe in the need for a local assembly of believers for the purpose of evangelism to unbelievers and edification of the Body of Christ.

Prayer

We believe in prayer and praying to the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. Praying in Spirit is an integral part of our belief. We believe in the authority of the believer to ask freely of the Lord to meet their needs according to God’s perfect will and in the Name of His Son, Jesus Christ.

Praise & Worship

We believe in the worshiping the Lord Jesus Christ through singing, clapping, and the lifting of hands.

Healing

We believe in the ministry of the Holy Spirit to the Church through the anointing of oil by the elders of the church and through the laying on of hands in prayer.

Evangelism

We believe in evangelism as the Lord commands us to evangelize all people and nations by sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We believe that this is the obligation of every follower of Jesus Christ.

Water Baptism

We believe in water baptism by immersion as obedience to the Word of God. All those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior should be baptized in water as an outward confession of their faith in Christ.

Personal Relationship with Christ

We believe that every believer has to have a personal relation with Jesus Christ. As children of God we have the access to the throne of God by the Blood of Jesus and His grace.

Commitment to Israel

We believe in the promise of Genesis 12:3 regarding the Jewish people and the nation of Israel. We believe Christians should bless and comfort Israel and the Jewish people.
